Supervisory Nurse (Infection Control)
Formulate policies and procedures for employee health and infection control to meet regulatory agencies guidelines. Supervise, evaluate, develop and implement the Infection Control and Employee Health and Environmental Services program for CIH. Develop and coordinate internal review systems to assure that both clinical and administrative activities are in compliance with agency and accrediting and regulatory requirements. Provide first-line and second-line supervisory authority over the occupational health program and environmental services programs, with responsibility and accountability for the departmental operations. To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. Education:
Degree or diploma from a professional nursing program approved by the legally designated State accrediting agency at the time the program was completed by the applicant. Must submit copy of transcript. Applications will be considered incomplete without proof. AND Registration:
Applicants must have active, current registration as a professional nurse in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. Qualifications:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks:
GS-12:
One year of specialized experience Developing policies and procedures for infection control, employee health, and patient safety and ensure compliance with accreditation requirements. Understand and present health and educational resources. Manage employee health records, collect data and prepare reports for Quality Improvement and Clinical Committees. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement. Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements:
Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
