Food Service Worker

Responsible for performing food service work including simple food preparation and dishwashing. Participate in tray assembly by placing portioned food and non-food items on trays. Clean a variety of tools, utensils and equipment, and maintain sanitary conditions within the area. Assemble silverware, glasses, dishes and other tray items at appropriate locations in serving area. To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. For positions requiring positive education requirements, or if you are using education to meet all or part of the qualification requirements, you MUST submit a copy of your transcripts or an itemized list of college courses which includes equivalent information from the transcript (course title, semester/quarter hours, and grade/degree earned) in your resume. Qualifications:

Experience and training that included following simple oral or written instructions and/or work orders; performing cook duties in a medical or nonmedical institution including:
preparation of uncooked food items, providing assistance to cooks, setting up tray lines with correct supplies and food items, and delivering and picking up patient trays. SCREEN-OUT ELEMENT:

Ability to perform food service work without more than normal supervision. PHYSICAL EFFORT:
The position requires continuous standing, bending, kneeling, and walking. Manual dexterity is required in the operation of equipment and lifting of heavy pans, trays, pushing heavy food transport carts, utility carts, and boxes of canned goods. Incumbent must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds. WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in a noisy, above average temperature and humid conditions, incumbent is exposed to water detergent and sanitizing agents. Subject to injury from cuts, burns, or falling on wet slippery floors. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement. Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements:
Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
