Nurse (Pediatrics)

Provide pediatric nursing care in a clinic or outpatient department. Formulate nursing diagnoses if appropriate to patients' needs. Develop a plan of care for individual patients by interviewing patient and family members, reviewing the patient's health record, and determining the kind of health and physical care required, including discharge planning. Administer therapeutic measures as prescribed by the physician such as medication and IV therapy that alter respiratory therapy and hemodynamic status. Plan, provide and appropriately document the teaching of patients and families in preventative, curative and rehabilitative measures, taking into consideration patients' and families; learning needs, styles, barriers, readiness to learn and development. Record observations, nursing interventions, therapeutic measures administered and status of coordinated activities between nursing and other professional disciplines. A graduate or higher level degree, bachelor's degree, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program is required. This education must have been accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs, Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education, or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. For all grade levels and positions, applicants must have passed the National Council Licensure Examination. In addition, you must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. Qualifications:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of professional nursing experience (equivalent to the GS-7 grade level or above) and possession of a diploma, associate degree, bachelor's degree, or Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from a professional nursing educational program. GS-09:
One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks:
Provide professional nursing care principles, practices and procedures required to provide nursing care to children receiving complex neonatal care; knowledge of pediatric drugs, their desired effects, side effects, and complications of their use; recognize adverse signs and symptoms which are not always apparent and to react promptly in emergency situations including the implementation of life saving procedures; provide counseling, guidance and health instruction to family member; and identify disease entitles in order to recognize complications and therapeutic interventions required. OR Successful completion of a Master's degree from a professional nursing educational program. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement. Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements:
Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
