Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals - Perform routine procedures such as vaccinations, blood draws, and dental cleanings - Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians - Monitor and record vital signs of animals during procedures and treatments - Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures - Take X-rays of animals as needed - Provide support and education to pet owners on topics such as nutrition, behavior, and preventive care
Qualifications:
- Certification or degree in veterinary technology or equivalent experience - Knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology - Proficiency in handling and restraining animals safely and compassionately - Excellent communication skills for interacting with veterinarians, pet owners, and other staff members - Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Note:
