- Greet and check-in patients as they arrive at the medical facility - Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or personnel - Schedule appointments for patients and update their information in the system - Verify insurance information and collect co-pays or payments from patients - Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information - Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents - Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a medical or healthcare setting is preferred - Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment - Proficient in using phone systems and basic computer applications This position requires a high level of professionalism, as you will be the first point of contact for patients.
The ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality is crucial.
